It seems like in the creating world there is always a project that we put off. For me, this laptop sleeve was one of those. A while back, I made these adorable Owl Pouches, pattern designed by One Dog Woof .
I absolutely love them… the pattern was very easy to follow and well written. Three of them were claimed by my daughter, she gave them to her teachers at the end of the school year. The last one was claimed by my mother. A week later she called me saying that her wireless mouse fits perfectly in it and she needs a laptop sleeve to match, and it would be nice to have a pouch on the front so she can carry her charging cord with her when she needs to. Ok Mom, sure, no problem…..
Fast Forward to over a year later, and I finally decide to get it done. I really don’t know why I have been putting it off, I guess I never found a pattern that really stuck out for me and what I wanted it to look like, and for whatever reason I just didn’t wanna… haha. I started out playing around with a few stitches and finally found the Suzette Stitch. It provided nice texture to the sleeve, along with some “squishiness” to help protect the laptop from getting banged around in her bag. Here is the result! It did not take long to whip up, this stitch seems to go very fast. And although the cord carrier was my least favorite part when I was trying to come up with a design, it ended up being my favorite feature of this bag! My mom loves it, and I am so happy to able to finally share it. You can find it HERE in my Ravelry shop, or HERE in my Etsy shop.
